Jamaica’s embrace of the business of cannabis continues to escalate with the opening of a new Kaya Herb House in Kingston. (Herb houses are what they call dispensaries on the island.) This new store is the 3rd by this company which already operates 2 facilities in, primarily, tourist areas on the island’s north coast. These Jamaican herb houses look nothing like the sterile pharmacy-like vibe you may be familiar with here in the United States; they are destinations. This new one, for example, features a 5,000 sq. ft. greenhouse, consumption lounge, pizza place, alcohol and coffee bar as well an accessories and clothing shop. Worth a special trip?
