About the Blue Lagoon

With its glistening, turquoise blue waters surrounded by lush greenery, the beautiful Blue Lagoon is a very popular tourist destination and one of the most interesting natural attractions on the island. It has been the backdrop for several films, most notably, the popular 1980 romantic survival drama of the same name starring Brooke Shields. You can go for a boat ride on the lagoon’s calm waters or take a dip to experience its odd mix of fresh and salt water and varying temperatures, fed as it is by cold water from underground streams and the warm Caribbean.

A very ganja friendly property

Tha Lagoon Spot is a very ganja friendly spot. Guests are allowed to smoke anywhere on the property except in the rooms. The owners are well known in the area and can arrange visits with local area ganja farmers for guests who want to experience this. And, if you are real eager to do this, it can even be arranged en route from the airport.

Your hosts, brothers Maurice and Omni are never far away if you need help of any kind. Tha Lagoon Spot is also close to popular local beaches (Frenchman’s Cove, San San Beach and Boston Beach) as well as attractions such as Boston Jerk Center and Reach Falls. There is good dining in the area as well as in Port Antonio but a cook can be arranged to prepare all meals for guests with a taste for authentic Jamaican cuisine.
