Overview
Owned by a Polish princess
Polish Princess guesthouse is a secluded vacation spot in the Fairy Hill neighborhood of Port Antonio on Jamaica’s northeast coast about 3 hours across the mountains from the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston. Owners, Polish national Barbara Laing and her Jamaican husband, have named each of their 8 rooms after a Polish princess. Surrounded by farmers with goats and chickens, the neighborhood is rustic, laidback, quiet, and very safe. Guests like that the proximity to local beaches (Frenchman’s Cove. Winnifred Beach and Boston Beach) and the Blue Lagoon, one of the most popular attractions on the island.
Ideal for a romantic couple’s getaway
The guesthouse offers spacious, en-suite rooms cooled by high-speed ceiling fans and equipped with mosquito nets. There is no air conditioning, but you are unlikely to miss it. Many guests like to enjoy their breakfast and blue mountain coffee on the patio. The cozy ambiance of Polish Princess makes it a favorite for couples in search of a quiet, romantic getaway but the guesthouse is equally welcoming to singles looking for a more activity-oriented holiday. And, with high-speed internet, it is easy to keep up with what’s happening at home and the office. The staff is fluent in Polish, Spanish, and English.
Ganja tourists are welcome
Polish Princess is a ganja friendly property. Like most of Jamaica, ganja is readily available from local area farmers.
