A very casual beachfront guesthouse

Ocean Air Guest House is a very casual beachfront property in the village of South Sea Park on Jamaica’s southwest coast about 1 hour from Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport and 40 minutes from the popular resort town of Negril. It is a laidback place to chill, do as little as possible and where shorts and flip-flops are proper attire.

In a gated community

Situated in a secure, gated community, Ocean Air Guest House offers 8 standard rooms and a 4-bed queen suite. Guests are invited to jump into the ocean for a swim, or idle in one of the many chaise lounges, hammocks, sunning beds, or beach chairs scattered throughout the property. These are among the many places to laze about, enjoy the cool breezes, sip on a Red Stripe and, of course, enjoy a spliff. One of the most popular spots on the property is the back verandah, where guests sip cocktails, meet new friends, and watch the spectacular sunsets.

Easy access to ganja

The guesthouse is very ganja friendly. For starters, Your driver will be happy to stop at a herb house in Montego Bay after airport pickup for you to purchase and sample some of Jamaica’s finest on the way to the resort. There are several herb houses in the nearby resort town of Negril and local area farm tours and purchases can be arranged. Guests are allowed to smoke on the property but not inside any of the buildings.

Lots to do nearby

The property managers, Mark and Hermine, are available to point guests so inclined in the direction of scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, fishing, and other activities. There are also many nearby attractions such as waterfalls and a bar that is accessible only by boat. Nearby restaurants include Elaine Chateau, Cracked Conch at Luna Sea, and Whitehouse, which serve a wide variety of Jamaican and international fare.
