A small guest house in the hills

Kool Rooms is a quiet, tranquil, five-bedroom guest house in the hills of Santa Cruz but close to the beach on Jamaica’s famous southwest coast about a 112-minute drive from the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. The guest rooms feature well-equipped kitchens, air conditioning, flat screen TV, a terrace, beautiful gardens,and other amenities that provide a great mix of value, comfort, and convenience for the budget traveler. The guest house is popular with young travelers looking to chill in rural St. Elizabeth as well as with local reggae artists.

Close to things you want to do

The guesthouse is only a few minutes’ walk from the town center. It’s also within 12 miles of Bubbling Spring Mineral Bath and 16 miles (25 km) from YS Falls. Appleton Estate is within 16 miles (25 km) and Parrotee Pond Mangroves is within 20 miles (32 km). Crane Beach in Black River is the closest beach, but the guest house believes that ganja tourists will prefer Bluefields Beach because of the better scenery and its many ganja related activities. Good local eats

Breakfast does not come with bookings at Kool Rooms, but arrangements canbe made for all meals for guests who want to dine in. Among the many very affordable nearby restaurants and cookshops are Jo Jo’s, Cynthia’s, Miss H,  Thompson Family Diner, Rocky’s, and Ikaana’s.

Ganja easily available

Kool Rooms is a ganja friendly property but does not allow smoking in the rooms. Ganja is easily available at the several small farms in the area and in Bluefields. Interested in trying some local strains or in a farm tour? Just ask.
