On the beach in Runaway Bay

House Erabo is a small but very well-run guesthouse on the beach in the village of Runaway Bay, along the Jamaican north coast between the tourist towns of Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, about 75 minutes from the Sangster International Airport. Operated by German expatriates, Elke McDonald and her son, Olaf, the property has been welcoming guests since 1989.

House Erabo offers 3 self-contained units, each with its own bathroom, kitchen, and living/dining room. Guests also have access to high-speed internet, a cell phone with a local provider card and large patio as well as a seaside gazebo. Guests also are also provided with a free pass for the beautiful private beach ‘Ocean Park’ in Runaway Bay.

Lots of ganja available

House Erabo is a ganja friendly property and will be happy to arrange transportation for guests to visit nearby herb houses. Ganja is readily available in the area and guests looking for good local weed need only to speak with Olaf. Nearby licensed herb houses include sacramental ganja farms, Kaya Herb House in Drax Hall as well as St Ann Botanicals, Mellow Buds, and Dr. Robinson‘s Herb House in Ocho Rios.

Close to shopping, dining and attractions

House Erabo is close to shopping and nightlife as well as attractions such as the famous Green Grotto Caves, horseback riding, hiking, Quad bike tours, Mystic Mountain Rain forest, Dunn’s River Falls, and Fire Waters. There is also a myriad of dining options that include restaurants such as Sharkey’s, Milestone, Flavours, and Scotchies. There are also many local area cookshops and mini marts for the curious and adventurous eaters.
