Hi, I’m Coryse Edmond, host at the Homey Jamaican Cottage and Homey Jamaican Studio, on Jamaica’s north coast, in the village of Charles Town, a dynamic country village about 15 minutes’ drive from Ocho Rios Town Center and 2 hours from the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. We are conveniently located within a 15-minute drive from many popular attractions – Blue Hole, Rio Nuevo River and beach, Island Gully Falls, Sugar Pot Beach, Spanish Bridge River, Pleasure Cove Beach, Little Dunn’s River, Kaz Creole Beach, Turtle Falls, Ocho Rios Bay, Dunn’s River Falls, Turtle Falls and Mahogany Beach, to name a few. Charles Townis a very lively place with its schools, churches, cook shops, pool bars, Three Hills Farm, grocery stores, bingo and dancehall parties. Visitors find the local life interesting and welcoming, whatever their interest.

Simple, rustic accommodations

Our lodgings (a cottage and a studio) are in a private yard with lots of fruit trees, Separate but not isolated. We live on the property ourselves and are always available to serve our guests – even if it’s just to chat. We have an 8-seater minibus for airport transfers, tours, emergencies or whatever.Each lodging has a furnished kitchen, but we can provide home cooked meals upon request. The accommodations are simple, rustic, authentic and a great value for money. There is no hot water or air conditioning, and we provide basic linens only. We have ceiling fans and at almost 2,000 feet above sea level, you will not miss air conditioning. The cottage is a simple board house with a zinc roof and can accommodate up to 6 people with 3 double beds. The studio is a concrete building and accommodate 2 people with one double bed.

We are a ganja friendly property

Guests are free to smoke ganja as they please on our property. There are also ganja farms in our area and, as you can see, the vacation packages we are offering, are rich with ganja experiences.

An immersion in Jamaican village life

We have been hosting foreign visitors for several years and know that visitors love the immersion in authentic Jamaican village life that we provide. We will guide you experiences such as picking herbs from the garden for Jamaica “bush” tea, show you how to make jerk sauces and moringa powder as well as how to cooking using natural, local ingredients. Depending on your interests, we will also escort you to area cook shops, church, local markets, and other places of interest. Expect to return home with solid introduction to the people and their way of life in our village.
