The property is right next door to the family home and final resting place of Peter Tosh, the famous reggae singer and guitarist. It is also a mere 3-minute walk to the beach.

In addition to its 3 bedrooms, the recently renovated villa comes with modern, new equipment and lush surrounding landscape. The meals at Happy Retreat showcase mouthwatering flavors by way of well-known Jamaican favorites such as jerk chicken, ackee and saltfish, and callaloo; all made with fresh, locally sourced produce. There are also good neighborhood-dining that include both beachside cafes and upscale restaurants to enjoy breathtaking ocean views, great local fare and refreshing tropical cocktails. Popular options include Cracked Conch, Devour Seafood and Blue Ocean.

For the culturally curious, Happy Retreat is a good vantage point from which to explore historic sites such as the Bob Marley Museum, Rose Hall Great House, and the Peter Tosh Mausoleum. There are also local markets and craft shops for unique souvenirs and, perhaps, some of Jamaica’s famous Blue Mountain coffee.
