Two little cottages perched on a cliff

Forever Cottage is actully two off-the-beaten-path, one-bedroom cottages perched on a cliff with their own private beach just below. The British colonial style, ecofriendly, solar powered resort property in Robins Bay, a small fishing village, on Jamaica’s northeast coast, 2 hours from the Norman International Airport in kingston and 3 hours from the Montego International Airport welcomes guests with luxury, privacy and absolutely no crowds. The owners, Grace and Lloyd, live next door and are easily accessible to answer questions, offer suggestions and for whatever else guests might need.

A beautiful property at a beautiful location

The sunrises are breathtakingly beautiful right from your bed! If you’re up to a bit of adventure, a 2-hour hike to Kwame Falls with its awesome trails full of fruit trees and amazing view of the coastline is something to consider. The rooms are decorated with artwork and hand made four poster bamboo beds; high wood ceilings and lots of windows with ceiling fans keep the rooms cool.

Lots to do at Forever Cottage

The beach is great for snorkeling and spear fishing in the nearby reefs. For the curious, you can arrange a boat ride with a local fisherman; and visit the nearby Green Castle Estate to see the process for cold pressing coconut oil. There is also bird watching, depending on the time of year. It’sjust 45 minutes to Ocho Rios and Port Antonia for great beaches, waterfalls and entertainment. Kingston is an hour away for those who’d like to visit the Bob Marley Museum, Devon House or perhaps spend an hour or two in the smoking lounge of a herb house.

A relaxed attitude towards ganja

Forever Cottage has a very relaxed attitude towards ganja. Guests are free to smoke on the property but not inside the rooms. There are small ganja farms in the area and a visit can be arranged or guests to learn about Jamaican strains and procure a few for their own use. A herb house visit can also arranged in Kingston after airport pickup. Just a short ride takes you to Castleblack where there’s a ganja farm and lab for producing medical cannabis.

Dining

Guests can choose to dine at Forever Cottage or at any of the local cookshops in the area. A visit to Llaydie’s Beach Restaurant & Bar will, for example, deliver a real local experience with food, smokes and lots of stories. The cottage offers breakfast and dinner based on the season and what’s available. Breakfast, of course, starts with fine Jamaican coffee, fresh juice and continues with seasonal fruits such as jackfruit , mango, papaya and ends with a cooked portion that might include breadfruit, bammy, fried dumplings or perhaps, Grace’s famous lobster crepes. Dinner is a romantic 3 course affair on the patio overlooking the sea. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available upon request.
