On the edge of a rainforest

Easyman’s Cottage offers a safe, natural, and rustic Jamaican experience at the edge of a rainforest – but with the expected comforts – good quality towels and bed linen, complimentary coffee and tea, natural soaps, etc. The cottage is situated off the main road between Port Antonio and Boston about 3 hours from the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston. It’s a great place to unwind close to nature and Jamaican village life with dogs barking, cocks crowing and the night noises of crickets and frogs.

A comfortable 2-bedroom cottage

The cottage’s 2 ensuite bedrooms, kitchen and large garden surround a 1/4-acre yard. There are two verandas for guests to relax – one in front (to watch the sunset) and the other, in back (to watch the sunrise or the hummingbirds play). It’s a short walk to the accompaniment of birds through the rainforest to Winifred beach where you can freshen up with a morning swim followed by a yoga session on the beach.

Smoke and meditate like a Rastaman

Easyman’s Cottage is a place to smoke, meditate and soak up the natural vibes of Jamaica – just like a Rastaman. Guests are free to smoke anywhere except in the bedrooms. Weed connoisseurs will want to visit La Familia Guesthouse and sacramental ganja farm in the nearby community of Long Bay. Ganja is generally easily available in the area.

Close to beaches and attractions

It’s about a 20-minute ride to the bustling town of Port Antonio and 5 minutes to Boston Beach; The Blue Lagoon, Frenchman’s Cove, and San San Beach are all just a short walk away. Arrangements can be made for excursions to the area’s several waterfalls as well as rafting on the Rio Grande, hiking in the Blue Mountains, Moore Town and more.

Near to good eats

Depending on the season the property is abundant with bananas, coconuts, soursop, ackee and other fruits which guests can use to make their own meals. The cottage can supply ready meals, breakfast goods, and deliver takeout from local cook-shops. Recommend spots to eat include Gurley Aston, Cynthia’s on Winifred, Italish, Woody’s, and Toga Italian restaurant.
