Cocklestop Inn is a comfortable and homey 2-bedroom villa located along a breathtaking stretch of golden-brown sand beach in Parottee, a small fishing village, 5 minutes outside the town of Black River on Jamaica’s southwest coast. It is approximately an hour from the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. The house is no more than a couple of minutes from a good swimming beach and comes with features and amenities that include: a large outdoor area with a garden and lots of fruit trees, fully equipped kitchen, flat-screen TV, WiFi, Netflix, CCTV, free parking, outdoor hammocks and housekeeping. A private chef, car rental, chauffeur and tour guide can all be arranged, if needed. The bright and spacious air-conditioned rooms of this seaside house make for a comfortable and very welcoming home away from home feeling.

A restful and easygoing vibe

At Cocklestop, life moves entirely at whatever pace you desire. You will not be judged if you choose to linger in bed to watch the sun rise; or, spend a good part of your days listening to the waves crash against the shore from your patio. On some days you may prefer to soak up the sun on the beach or relax in the shade of a tree with a Red Stripe watching the fishermen go out to sea and wondering why you will ever have to leave this place. And watching the sunset in the evenings is even more marvelous than watching it rise.What’s more, the staff will go above and beyond to ensure a vacation experience that is joyful, restful and memorable. They will also be helpful with tips and suggestions about dining options and places of interest to explore.

Lots of ganja farmers in the area

This area of Jamaica is known for its ganja and there are many small ganja farmers in the area – many, personally known to the owners of Cocklestopp Inn. The ganja tourist will not be short of opportunities to visit local farms and sample their fine strains.

Tours and activities

There’s lots to do in Parottee. The southcoast’s famous Pelican Bar is visible from Cocklestop’s beach. Tours can also be arranged to popular attractions such as YS falls, Black River Safari, Lovers Leap and Appleton Estate.
